Del 7 al 19 de diciembre de 2022 tendrá lugar la Conferencia sobre Diversidad Biológica de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (COP15), que pretende convocar a todos los gobiernos del mundo para trazar un nuevo marco mundial para la diversidad biológica posterior a 2020.
Este 15º encuentro de las Partes del Convenio tendrá lugar en Montreal (Canadá), en el marco del Decenio de las Naciones Unidas de las Ciencias Oceánicas para el Desarrollo Sostenible (2021-2030).
Esta reunión pretende contribuir a la consecución de la Agenda 2030, creada para potenciar la armonía con la naturaleza, la biodiversidad marina y costera. La buena recepción del Marco necesitará una mayor inversión en la generación y asimilación de la ciencia y los conocimientos oceánicos, así como asociaciones entre distintos grupos para transformar la ciencia y conocimientos teóricos en acciones y soluciones prácticas.

UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY
From December 7 to 19, 2022, the United Nations Conference on Biological Diversity (COP15) will take place, which aims to convene all the world’s governments to chart a new global framework for post-2020 biodiversity.
This 15th meeting of the Parties to the Convention will take place in Montreal (Canada), within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).
This meeting aims to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, created to enhance harmony with nature, marine and coastal biodiversity. Successful reception of the Framework will require increased investment in the generation and uptake of ocean science and knowledge, as well as partnerships between different groups to transform theoretical science and knowledge into practical actions and solutions.
