El Comité Nacional Español de ICOMOS organiza el II Simposio de Patrimonio Cultural ICOMOS-España, que inicia hoy, 17 de noviembre y finaliza el sábado 19. El encuentro presenta como objetivo la creación de un foro para la comunidad española que permita la presentación de las últimas investigaciones en el campo de la conservación, restauración, documentación, protección, gestión y difusión de los monumentos, conjuntos, sitios y manifestaciones que conforman el patrimonio cultural.Este simposio reúne diversas disciplinas y profesionales de áreas como la arquitectura, la historia, la arqueología, la historia del arte, la geografía, la antropología, la conservación y restauración, la ingeniería, el urbanismo, el turismo, etc.
El evento se lleva a cabo en la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (Murcia) y el programa científico cuenta con un acto inaugural, 29 mesas de comunicaciones distribuidas en sesiones paralelas y un acto de cierre.
Tanto el Gobierno de la CARM, como el Ayuntamiento de Cartagena, la UPV y UM, son colaboradores de este encuentro que, además, se realiza en una ciudad que encierra un valiosísimo patrimonio artístico, histórico y cultural.
Parte del equipo de Ocean Art Project se encuentra en el ciclo de conferencias para asistir a las mesas de comunicaciones relacionadas con patrimonio marino y subacuático.

II ICOMOS-SPAIN CULTURAL HERITAGE SYMPOSIUM
The Spanish National Committee of ICOMOS is organizing the II ICOMOS-Spain Cultural Heritage Symposium, which begins today, November 17th and ends on Saturday, November 19th. The meeting aims to create a forum for the Spanish community to present the latest research in the field of conservation, restoration, documentation, protection, management and dissemination of monuments, ensembles, sites and manifestations that make up the cultural heritage. This symposium brings together various disciplines and professionals from areas such as architecture, history, archeology, art history, geography, anthropology, conservation and restoration, engineering, urbanism, tourism, etc.
The event is held at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Murcia) and the scientific program includes an opening ceremony, 29 round tables of papers distributed in parallel sessions and a closing ceremony.
Both the Government of the CARM, as the City of Cartagena, the UPV and UM, are collaborators of this meeting, which also takes place in a city that contains a valuable artistic, historical and cultural heritage.
Part of the Ocean Art Project team is in the conference series to attend the round tables of communications related to marine and underwater heritage.
