El pasado 18 de octubre, el equipo de Ocean Art Project estuvo presente en el V Congreso Iberoamericano en Conservación del Patrimonio.
Este encuentro tuvo lugar del 17 al 19 de octubre, siendo la primera vez que se realiza en Valencia, en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universitat Politècnica de València y en otros escenarios como La Ciutat Fallera, ubicada en la misma provincia.
Bajo el lema “Innovación Digital en la Preservación del Legado Cultural”, este espacio permitió la reunión de numerosos profesionales en el ámbito del patrimonio con la finalidad de exponer y fijar todos los desafíos positivos y negativos, a los que se enfrenta el mundo de la conservación del patrimonio ante una herramienta como la tecnología. Con este análisis, se podrán trazar nuevos caminos que permitan enfrentar los retos planteados y disfrutar de los resultados obtenidos hasta el momento.
Ocean Art Project, iniciativa de la Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural de la UPV y enmarcada en el ThinkInAzul Comunidad Valenciana (Next Generation), tuvo la oportunidad de aprovechar este espacio para explicar cómo la tecnología influye en la divulgación del conocimiento sobre el patrimonio marino, en consonancia con los objetivos marcados en la estrategia relacionada con la economía azul y ciencia ciudadana.
La accesibilidad, la gamificación y la plataformización fueron los conceptos claves que el equipo de Ocean Art Project, presentaron como estructura de trabajo para concienciar sobre el cuidado de los mares y océanos -y por ende, del patrimonio cultural- a la infancia y juventud.

On October 18, the Ocean Art Project team was present at the V Iberoamerican Congress on Heritage Conservation.
This meeting took place from 17 to 19 October, being the first time it is held in Valencia, at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universitat Politècnica de València and in other venues such as La Ciutat Fallera, located in the same province.
Under the slogan “Digital Innovation in the Preservation of Cultural Legacy”, this space allowed the meeting of numerous professionals in the field of heritage in order to expose and set all the positive and negative challenges faced by the world of heritage conservation before a tool such as technology. With this analysis, it will be possible to trace new paths to face the challenges posed and enjoy the results obtained so far.
Ocean Art Project, an initiative of the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage of the UPV and framed in the ThinkInAzul Valencian Community (Next Generation), had the opportunity to take advantage of this space to explain how technology influences the dissemination of knowledge about marine heritage, in line with the objectives set out in the strategy related to the blue economy and citizen science.
Accessibility, gamification and platforming were the key concepts that the Ocean Art Project team presented as a working structure to raise awareness about the care of the seas and oceans -and therefore, of cultural heritage- among children and youth.
